PRESTO

PRESTO cards is one of the many conviences MiWay has to offer. PRESTO is a reloadable smartcard which MiWay customers can quickly use to pay fare with a simple tap from the card.

One can load a PRESTO card with a minimum of $10 to a maximum of $1000. Also, when one is purchasing their first PRESTO card, the minimum one can pay is $16 ($6 to purchase the card itself and the $10 minimum load to be loaded onto the card).

The City Centre Transit Terminal beside Square One
GO Train station in Mississauga

There are also many benefits of using PRESTO, these include:

Earning free rides with MiWay's weekly loyalty program, in which once a PRESTO cardholder has payed 12 MiWay fares during any one-week (Monday-Sunday) they are automatically eligible to ride free on MiWay for the rest of the week.
Cardholders get an automatic discounted co-fare, paying only $0.75 when transferring between MiWay and GO Transit within the two-hour transfer window
Cardholders can transfer free, within the two-hour transfer window, with neighbouring transit systems such as the Brampton Transit, Oakville Transit etc...
Registered PRESTO cards can set up an autoload to reload a card automatically, recover the balance if lost, or stolen, and has one overdraft trip.
An overdraft trip for registered PRESTO cards means that if one does not have sufficent funds in their card, PRESTO cardholders are allowed one trip for emergencies even if their card has $0.00, allowing registered PRESTO cards to go negative one time.
Pocock Students (age 13-19) can benefit using PRESTO by paying only $2.25 for MiWay fares, if the card's set up to pay the High School Student Concession Fare. This concesstion fare can be set up at any customer service location.
